Justice and elections: what people told UBOS
Most people with a grievance took it to a local council (LC) leader (92%); 71% went to the police. Only 34% of people who went through a justice process were satisfied with the final judgment.
These figures are survey answers about people’s own experiences, published by UBOS in 2018. They are not official findings, and UBOS has not published newer tables.
Satisfaction with judgments was lowest among degree holders (15%), against 27% of people with no schooling.

How to read this chart
- It covers only survey respondents who said they saw an irregularity during the last presidential election before the survey.
- It shows how their reports were split by type, adding up to 100%. It does not show how many people saw irregularities, or how widespread any of them were.
- These are people’s own reports and were not verified. UBOS does not name the election year in the table; it published the figures in 2018.
About these numbers
- These are survey answers: what people said they saw or experienced. They are not official findings.
- The election table covers only people who said they saw an irregularity during the presidential election before the survey. It shows how those reports split by type, not how many people saw irregularities.
- People could name more than one place where they took a grievance, so those figures add up to more than 100%.
- UBOS published these tables in 2018 and has not updated them since.
