Factory prices: +1.8% in a year

Prices charged by Uganda’s factories and utilities rose 1.8% in the year to July 2026. Shop prices (the CPI) rose 4.0% over the same year.

Producer prices are what factories and utilities charge when goods leave the gate, before transport, shop margins and taxes. They often move before shop prices do.
